As we wrap up wedding season for 2014, I started to look back at how it started! We had several early spring weddings this year and how refreshing. Couples were choosing soft pastel color palettes and delicate flower varieties. Andrea and John’s beautiful wedding at the Grant Humphreys Mansion in April was among one of our favorites.
The classic look and style of this couples’ wedding flowers created a cohesive look with all the rest of their details and plans. The mansion itself is totally classic with a nostalgic feel. What a wonderful location for a wedding in central Denver. Andrea chose soft peaches, blush, coral, butter yellow and ivory for her florals- using tulips, roses, hydrangea, dahlias and a touch of babies breath.
Her bridal gown was ivory where as the bridesmaids wore a soft tiffany blue. This picture looks like the mansion was built just for them.
Pretty mercury glass compote dishes were the perfect vessel to design these classic style centerpieces. Along with the hydrangea and roses, the seeded eucalyptus, hanging amaranthus and dusty miller added a bit of texture and interest to each piece.
